We can’t understand the ocean just by looking at the waves on its surface. And we can’t understand the Cosmos just by studying the physical universe.
Yet mainstream science currently tries to persuade us that we can only fully understand the nature of reality by understanding the material world.
If such science were able to comprehensively describe the universe then it might have reason to be authoritative. Yet the current theories that describe the minute world of the quantum and the large scale world of relativistic spacetime are not only fundamentally incompatible, but over the last few years discoveries by astronomers have identified that the universe appears to be comprised of an enormous 96% of so-called dark matter and energy whose nature is, as yet, completely unknown.
So a mainstream science that tries to convince us that it can explain the ocean of reality can’t even explain the froth on top of its surface!
Now at the leading edge of science and research into Consciousness a revolutionary and comprehensive vision of the Cosmos and the nature of reality is emerging. For instance, the study of the collective power of consciousness (Noetics), as highlighted in the recent Dan Brown blockbuster, The Lost Key, is a key area of research by the Institute of Noetic Science in California
There are three fundamental discoveries that reveal this deeper nature of reality and the all-pervasive inspiration and presence of the ultimate consciousness of cosmic mind.
The first is that nonlocality – the immediate connection between apparently separate entities regardless of how far away they are from each other across space and time, is not limited to the quantum scale of existence. Such instant and unlimited connection that our minds also exhibit through the existence of phenomena such as telepathy and remote viewing, transcends space and time and again shows that the Cosmos needs to be seen as a whole-world.
The second is the all-pervasive nature of cosmic information. The mathematics of information is exactly the same as that which describes the entropy - the energetic state of order or disorder in a system. This exact correlation shows that the universe can thus be described in terms of information rather than energy – with information being more fundamental as it embodies the intention and pattern that is then manifested energetically in the physical world.
The third is that a growing consensus across many scientific disciplines is showing that everything we call real is manifested through holographic processes as a whole-world which is innately interrelated, coherent and harmonic at all scales of existence.
The truth of this is being realised thanks to the power of computers to analyse vast amounts of data. Over the last few years many complex systems of the natural world such as coastlines, the incidence of earthquakes, tributaries of rivers, weather patterns and biological ecosystems have been analysed. And underlying their apparent diversity and complexity, simple, universal and self-similar patterns of fractal geometries are being uncovered. So what may appear chaotic – which gave rise to the early studies of so-called chaos theory is in fact revealing the fundamental interconnectivity and order that underpins the universe.
But even more amazing, the same holographic patterning is being discovered in man-made systems such as the growth of cities, economic trends and even the incidence of conflicts. Even when we believe we’re making choices that are independent of others, we still find that those choices become part of the collective patterns that are part of the coherent whole-world. As the ancient sages would say, we are the many expressed by the One – and we are the One that is expressed by the many. We are creation and we are co-creators.
We can no longer separate mind from matter, body from soul and ourselves from a reality that is intrinsically integral. In this new vision of the nature of integral reality, our existence has meaning and purpose. And as co-creators, our consciousness – on many different levels of perception - is far more powerful than most of us have previously thought.
A ground breaking experiment in 2007 by an Austrian team of physicists led by Anton Aspelmeyer and Marcus Zeilinger proved that what we call real doesn’t actually exist until we observe it. In other words there is no reality without consciousness.
A series of experiments have also demonstrated so-called nonlocality – what Einstein called ‘spooky action at a distance.’ In 2005 complex organic molecules were able to be nonlocally connected - beyond the hitherto accepted limits of space and time. Their size, hugely greater than the quantum scale where such effects were previously considered to be limited to, has demonstrated that there is no theoretical scale limit to such entangled states.
But there is now extensive scientific evidence that our minds are also connected on a nonlocal basis. So-called meta-analyses of a huge number of experiments into such psi effects as telepathy and remote viewing led the American Institutes for Research as long ago as the mid 1990s to conclude that the evidence for these was amply proven and that future research should focus on understanding the phenomena and their use.
Other discoveries across many fields of study are also recognizing that the universe – and everything in it including ourselves - are manifested through holographic processes that harmonically and fundamentally interconnect all that we call physical reality.
If we are to understand the Cosmos at a deeper level than hitherto it is becoming clear that we need to understand the nature of the cosmic hologram and to consider information as being more fundamental that space, time, matter and energy.
For it is from the primordial field of information – of consciousness- from which all that we call reality is manifested.
The ancient Vedic sages of India called this Akasha meaning all-pervasive all-encompassing space. The Akashic or A-Field is the holographic information field from which arises all that is has ever been and will be.
Crucially this revolutionary vision of the Cosmos means that we are not only the creation of cosmic mind but the co-creators of our realities.
Mainstream scientists hope that CERN’s Large Hadron Collider will resolve many of the problems with their current theories. But their search still completely ignores the ‘elephant in the room’ that as our ancestors and primary peoples realise must be understood to give us not only a clearer perception of the creation, history and nature of the universe, but the deeper question of who we really are.
The ‘elephant in the room’ is the nature of consciousness and this lies not only at the heart of how the universe is as it is – but why.
Our fragmented and limited worldview has brought us to the edge of a global breakdown. But the new vision of reality and of ourselves is emerging at this tipping point in history as individually and collectively our awareness is expanding.
The whole-world that the emerging vision of integral reality is describing, is being revealed to be exquisitely and meaningfully co-created to enable consciousness to explore itself at many levels of awareness. And its profound and empowering insights are emerging at a critical time when an evolutionary leap of collective awareness that is becoming known as the Shift, is gathering pace. We are now becoming able to access higher aspects of our psyche, beyond the level of our ego-based sense of self.
Whilst this has been the goal of spiritual initiates throughout the ages, the evolutionary processes underway in the Shift are unprecedented and energised by the opening of the 8th chakra of the universal heart for ever more people around the world.
Accessing such trans-personal awareness enables us to understand and release old patterns of behaviour whether on personal, family or collective levels. As we journey towards 2012, the Shift has the potential to take us as a global family to a higher level of consciousness and enable resolution – or re-soulution – of the many issues and problems that together we face.
Through the in-formation embodied within the whole-world, evolution unfolds throughout the universe’s cosmic cycle, enabling ever greater complexity and thus consciousness to be embodied and experienced. And whilst the limiting speed of light within spacetime ensures we experience our lives as an unfolding series of events and the playing out of choices and their implications, the reality of the nonlocal connection that transcends it enables the cosmic mind that is the whole-world to ultimately explore and evolve its own internal relationships. As the ancient mystics understood, the One is expressed through the diversity of the many.
The scientific evidence is rapidly growing that we are not only the individuated microcosms of the cosmic mind of God but that we really are the divine co-creators of our realities. It’s time for us to move beyond the fears, limitations and selfishness of our ego-based selves. It’s time for us to listen to the inner guru of our higher selves. It’s time for us to guru –up!
If we are willing to take responsibility for our choices and ready to make those choices from love rather than fear, the emerging view of the whole-world shows that we can really transform our personal and collective realities.
As we each ‘show up’ to hear and enact the guidance of the universal heart, we fulfil our highest purpose in being here and now. For completion of the Shift is up to all of us – as the indigenous elders have said ‘we are the ones we have been waiting for.’
Whilst our personal journeys of self-discovery have been progressively empowering us to understand that ‘I Can Do It’, we need now to go beyond the Me and become the We.
The whole-world invites each and every one of us to show up and answer the call of service in whatever way and to whatever extent each of us can manage.
As Archbishop Tutu has said ‘each of us can do something.’ However small your ‘something’ may seem to you, remember that ‘if you think you’re too small to make a difference share a sleeping bag with a mosquito!’ And for those of you who have a dream that seems too enormous to achieve, remember that ‘no one is given a dream without having everything they need within themselves to accomplish it.
This is what the Path for HOPE is all about.
